 2008 Life Workshop Schedule

Thursday, January 24, 2008 (Please note new date)  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Effective Goal-Setting: Do you want to make resolutions that really stick this year? If so, this first workshop of 2008 is for you. We'll show you how to establish workable, stimulating goals that will leave you feeling inspired and confident -- not overwhelmed.

Thursday, February 14, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Attracting the Life You Want If you missed it the first time around or if you need a refresher, you'll want to attend this popular overview of the Ruby Slipppers recipe for happiness.  We'll show you how to clarify your goals and drams and get on your way to making them happen.

Thursday, March 20, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
The Amazing Power of Gratitude:  Scientific studies show that we are most likely to attract what we want for ourselves when we are feeling grateful for what we already have.  This workshop will explore how to feel appreciative more often as a way to enhance your life.

Thursday, April 17, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Achieving Life Balance:   With so many important priorities – family, work, friendships, keeping yourself fit and healthy – it’s easy to feel overwhelmed from a sense that you’re trying to "do it all.”  This workshop will show you how to keep all the vital areas of your life thriving, with a greater sense of stability.

Thursday, May 22, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
What's the Use of Worrying:   Worrying can be a healthy warning signal that alerts us to real dangers and helps us prepare for the future.  But worrying for no reason only leads to frantic days and sleepless nights. This workshop will help you differentiate between what’s worth worrying about and what’s not worth another thought.   We’ll show you how to curb needless worrying so that you can give your attention to what really matters – and get more sleep.

Thursday, June 19, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Let Go of Self-limiting Beliefs:   Inner doubts - and we all have them - can sabotage even the best laid plans.  This workshop will help you to take negative thinking less seriously, and create the mindset you need to get out of your way and move forward with confidence.

Thursday, July 17, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Comfort with Conflict:   Most people hate conflict and avoid it at all costs.  This workshop will help you see what it is about conflict that gives it such a bad name.  We've found that if you understand conflict, then you can deal with it more constructively and even get comfortable with it.  We’ll show you how conflict can be a tool for creativity and a doorway to deeper, more intimate relationships.

Thursday, August 21, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Finding Forgiveness:   If you're feeling like you've been betrayed by someone and are having trouble moving on, this workshop will show you the way to peace of mind.  You'll learn how to get past your disappointment, let go, and open yourself up to trusting again.

Thursday, September 18, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Improving Your Intuition:   All of us have intuition, an inner guidance system that can help us make better choices and be more successful in all areas of life – if we're willing to listen to what it has to say.  This presentation will help you to understand and rely on your intuition as your most vital solution-finding resource.  We help you learn how to tap into your inner wisdom, with specific strategies for increasing your intuitive power.

Thursday, October 16, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Thriving in the Face of Change:  The one constant in life is change, so why are we so unsettled by it?  This workshop will show you how to weather the inevitable transitions of life -- everything from break-ups to corporate downsizing --  from a more grounded perspective.  You’ll learn how to view change as a welcome opportunity for personal growth, not just a jarring interruption.

Thursday, November 20, 2008  12:15-1:15 pm Rines Auditorium
Getting Back on Track When Life Knocks You Down:  It's easy to stay positive about your goals when life is just clipping along. But what happens when a major life event, such as a break-up, illness, injury, or job loss knocks you off your path?  During this program we show you how to get through tough times, believe in yourself despite what is going on around you, and get your motivation and faith back.

There will be no workshop in December.
