Welcome to the Portland Public Library Interlibrary Loan Service.   PPL participates in Interlibrary Loan (ILL) on regional, state, national and international levels.  We will borrow items not owned by PPL from other libraries for our PPL patrons and for libraries in the Southern Maine Library District.  We will also lend materials or provide photocopies to other libraries.  We accept ILL requests from other institutions via OCLC, mail, fax or on the appropriate electronic form supplied below.
