      Star Sydney Taylor Book Awards

The Sydney Taylor Book Award was established in honor of the author of the All of a Kind Family series to encourage the publication of outstanding books of positive Jewish content for children.  Started in 1968, the award is given annually to the most distinguished contribution to Jewish children’s literature published in the previous year. Usually, two awards are given, one for younger and one for older readers.

Below is a list of the award-winning books owned by Portland Public Library Children's Department.
