Sign-up at the Children's Desk at any of our Library locations and receive a chart to keep track of your reading. Read or be read to and complete 8 books or 8 hours before August 9.

Join Ann Walsh for an art workshop constructing papier mache fruit and vegetable sculptures.
July 16 - Mobile Tidal Pool
Mike Dunn of Marine Education Experience, Unlimited provides children (and adults) a hands-on experience with the residents of a tidal pool.
July 23 - Roaring Duck Puppets
Nancy Sander, professional puppeteer, will present an original, humorous version of The Three Pigs. She invites children to participate in her lively shows.
July 30 - For Pete's Sake

An Afternoon Storytelling Workshop
for Young People - Grades 3-5

From New England to New Zealand , and many places in between, Michael Parent is nationally known storyteller who has been telling stories and singing songs since 1977. In this performance workshop, participants will learn the basics of telling a story, performing a monologue, telling a joke, or creating a skit. In the evening the students will present some of their work, followed by Michael performing his stories and songs.
