Star Youth Services Department 

PPL's Youth Services Department offers a wealth of services and resources to children and young adults. The book collection includes Lupine Award, Newbery Medal and Caldecott Medal winners plus picture books, folk and fairy tales, biographies, board books, magazines (can be checked out for 3 weeks) , videos, DVDs, music, and more. 

The growing Foreign Language section includes books, videos, and audiocassettes! 

 Two computers are loaded with educational software, and five computers are available for homework help and Internet use.

 

 We offer weekly programs -- year round: Finger Fun For Babies, Tales for Twos, and Preschool Story Time. Throughout the year, there are also special events with musicians puppets, storytellers, crafts, and book celebrations. Join our Summer Reading Program with fun awards and prizes. In the fall, don't miss the Annual Children's Used Book Sale. Check out our Calendar for more information.
 
Schools and Community groups can call the library to set up tours, story programs, booktalks, and research instruction.
