To kick off its 50th Anniversary year in 2014, Greater Portland Landmarks hosts a photography exhibition, Images of Change: Greater Portland’s Cityscape since 1960,in the Lewis Gallery from January 3 through February 28, 2014.
The juried exhibition features 72 photographs by 44 artists that interpret the built environment, explore architecture and urbanity, and demonstrate the change and evolution of greater Portland’s cityscape over the last 50+ years. The exhibition will feature images that highlight buildings, streetscapes, neighborhoods, and designed landscapes, including those that have been saved, lost, changed and newly built. Photographs were selected from 238 submissions of images. In addition, there are five historical photographs documenting key buildings from the 1960s and early 1970s.
