The Sam L. Cohen Children’s Library is hosting a weekly story time in French. Marie-Gaëlle Casset-Ford will be leading this half hour of French stories, songs & activities for preschool children on Monday mornings at 10:30. Marie- Gaëlle is the Director/Teacher at La Petite Ecole, the only French preschool in Portland, now in its 9th year.

Marie-Gaëlle Casset-Ford was born in Paris, France and in 1991, she came to Portland to pursue a degree in Fine Arts at the Maine College of Art. She received a Masters in Education degree, from Lesley College, specializing in Creative Arts in Learning. With over 16 years of teaching experience, Marie-Gaëlle has put all her devotion as an educator to create her dream: a unique Bilingual Art-venture called La Petite Ecole. Her mission is to promote learning languages-French/English- at a young age through fun hands on experiences with the fundamentals of, from and through the Arts.

Marie-Gaelle and her preschool walk to the Library on Mondays to lead this story time. In the event of inclement weather (rain/snow/extreme cold) this story time could be cancelled. Please call ahead to ensure it will be held.
