Join us at the Downtown Library for our weekly Story Time for Babies! Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM we offer stories, rhymes, and songs for babies 0-24 months and their caregivers.

Story Time for Babies is a program that introduces babies and caregivers to the building blocks of language and literacy. Reading, playing, talking, singing, and writing are the five practices that stimulate the growth of a child’s brain and make the connections that will become the foundation for reading. Story Time for Babies at the Portland Public Library incorporates the elements of early literacy and shares songs, rhymes, and movement that caregivers can use with baby at home!
