Arrive Alive Teen Art Exhibit
September 29-October 31, 2017
S. Donald Sussman Teen Library
5 Monument Square, Portland, ME

The S. Donald Sussman Teen Library at PPL is excited to announce a new art exhibit for October 2017. The exhibit will showcase selections from the 2017 Arrive Alive Creative Contest.

The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein launched the Arrive Alive Creative Contest thirteen years ago to combat drinking and driving and distracted driving among teenagers. Since its humble beginnings with just two Portland schools participating, the Arrive Alive Creative Contest has expanded and received more than 650 entries from over 115 Maine high schools to date.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2015 report on teens and distracted driving stated that 11% of the fatal accidents involving 15-19 year-olds were a result of distracted driving. In 2014, that number was 9%.

The Arrive Alive Creative Contest was created to fight teen drinking and driving and teen distracted driving in Maine. Since the contest launched in 2004, the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein has given away more than $120,000 in prizes to Maine’s graduating seniors. The firm’s dedication to the Arrive Alive Creative Contest made them a finalist for the American Association for Justice Trial Lawyers Care Award in 2014.
