Reasons Why We Need to Talk About ’13 Reasons Why’

The Teen and Health libraries of PPL invite teens and adults to join us for a timely conversation about the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, based on the “new classic” YA novel by Jay Asher, which recently marked its 10th anniversary in print.

Teens and adults, including parents, caregivers, and teachers, will all have the chance to discuss the controversy around this series and its departures from the novel with local professionals from NAMI Maine, SARSSM, YAAPP, and more. Teens can join us for both an intimate, teens-only discussion in the Teen Library at 4 PM, as well as the larger community conversation in the Rines Auditorium at 5:30 PM. Guest experts include:
