PPL Teen Summer Reading 2020
Starts June 15, 2020!
HBD Maine! Our state turns 200 in 2020 and we’re celebrating with a special Teen Summer Reading challenge for Portland teens. Complete each challenge on our Teen Summer Reading game board for the chance to win at Maine Birthday Bingo. Snap a photo of your completed game board and send it to us via email or Instagram for the chance to win a prize.
Who can play? Middle and high school students in the Greater Portland, Maine area.
How do I sign up? Sign-up by filling out this form online.
How do I get a game board? You can print one yourself here. You may get one from a teacher, your school, or at a summer program; we will make printed copies available at all PPL locations as we move to curbside services this summer; and we hope to make them available at summer meal sites via our community partners.
When does it start? June 15. We will accept completed game boards throughout July and August.
What do I do when I finish all the challenges? Complete all the information on the front and back of the game board. Take a picture of the front and back. Send the picture to us via email or message it to us @ppl_teen on Instagram. You can also mail it to us via USPS. All contact information is below.
What do I win? This summer is different. We hope to give out free, new and popular teen books at various locations throughout the summer. You do not have to finish your game board to get a book. If you finish your game board and submit it to us, we will enter your name into a raffle for 1 of 3 grand prizes. Prizes will be awarded at the end of August.
Print the game board.
