What would you do if you were in charge of the Teen Library? Make it happen by becoming a Teen Library Volunteer!

We need motivated, ambitious teens to help us make the Teen Library the best place it can be. Join if you want to help us plan events, moderate our Discord server, help determine the rules of our space, make creative projects like art exhibits and open mics, and more.

To join our Teen Library Volunteer group, fill out this form. Once you join, Teen Library staff will invite you to the next meeting.

Members of the Teen Library Volunteer group must commit to monthly meetings which may be held either online or in person as current guidelines permit. We use these meetings to talk about what’s happening in the Teen Library, brainstorm new events to host, and discuss policies for the Teen Library. Members are welcome and encouraged to bring all their big ideas to the table!

Not ready for a long-term commitment? Do you only need a few hours for community service or volunteer credits? We would love to try and work with you. Fill out the form and let us know what type of volunteer work you would like to do at the library, and we’ll try to make a match—no monthly meetings required.

Teen Library Volunteers must be in the Library’s service area of Cumberland, Oxford, and York counties and be between 12 and 19 years old, or middle or high school students.
