Teen Graphic Medicine
PPL Teen & the illustration institute are joining forces for a series of workshops and events for teens this summer. Our theme is Graphic Medicine. If you are a middle or high school student interested in comics and drawing, this series is a great way to expand your mind and your artistic portfolio!
Our summer of Graphic Medicine for teens kicks off with a week-long workshop taught by special guest artist Suzy Becker. Registration for the workshop is required and space is limited to 20 people. You can reserve your place today by completing our Registration Form.
Participants will be able to continue working on their project through the summer with our Artist in Residence and Teen Graphic Medicine Intern! Stay tuned for additional Graphic Medicine programs and events for teens in July and early August.
What is “Graphic Medicine”? (1) Graphic Medicine is where Comics and Health meet! (2) Graphic Medicine is comics and zines that explore health and wellness topics. This includes creative fictional stories, personal memoirs, informational books and more! Want to see examples of Graphic Medicine? View Our Graphic Medicine Book List for a collection of popular comics for kids and teens that we consider to be “graphic medicine”!
Graphic Medicine at PPL Teen is made possible through a partnership with the illustration institute and is partially funded by the Sam L. Cohen Foundation.
