Introducing Comics Plus

Portland Public Library is excited to bring you Comics Plus, powered by Library Pass! Comics Plus is a digital platform offering thousands of digital comics, graphic novels and manga to PPL card holders. You can access titles using a smartphone, tablet, or web browser.

Every Comics Plus title is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on your computer, tablet or phone.

• Stream titles without using storage space
• Download titles for offline reading
• Manage your shelf across devices
• Maintain your reading progress across platforms

Using Comics Plus is easy!

How to use Comics Plus with a web browser:

1. Visit https://login.librarypass.com or click on the Comics Plus logo on the library’s website.
2. You will be asked to Search for Library/School. Type and select “Portland Public Library, ME”.
3. You will be asked for your User Name or Library ID. Your Library ID is the number on the back of your library card. Please enter the entire number with no spaces.
4. Now you can browse for comics, read them, or add them to your shelf to read later. Enjoy!

How to use Comics Plus with the app:

1. Visit either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Search for the Library Pass app. The app is free.
3. Download and install the Library Pass app.
4. You will be asked to Search for Library/School. Type and select “Portland Public Library, ME”.
5. You will be asked for your User Name or Library ID. Your Library ID is the number on the back of your library card. Please enter the entire number with no spaces.
6. You will be asked to enter your Password or Pin. You do not need a pin to use the app, but you do need to enter something the first time you login. For example, try entering 1234 as your pin. As long as your library card number is correct, you will be able to login to the app.
7. Your device will remember you each time you use the app. You will not need to login again unless you decide to log out of the app.
