NEW UPDATE 5/6: PPL is online! We are developing plans for re-establishing services at our locations in conjunction with city and state authorities. We look forward to being able to welcome you to the Library again, and we will make a public announcement when our re-open date is set. Please hold onto all library materials as staff are not in the building. No overdue fees will be incurred during this time including MaineCat and ILL items. See our COVID-19 information page for links to current health information in multiple languages. Reference will be answering questions Mon-Sat, 10am-4pm, 871-1700 x725. If you would like to open a temporary eResource library card, please email us at

For Kids & Families

While you are home and the Library is closed, you can still access our digital databases: Culturegrams and TumbleBooks. You do need to click through the PPL website links to get to these sites for free. Visit our special page of resources we’ve compiled of all free and amazing online resources. Please keep checking this page as we will continue to add things. Missing us as much as we miss you? Check out our YouTube channel and Instagram to keep up with the programs we are doing virtually!
