Juneteenth Series: Honoring Freedom and Empowerment through Dialogue, Preparedness and Wellness Liberation in Safety

Join Portland Public Library in celebrating Juneteenth with a series of three events. This year, PPL’s Juneteenth Events will have a particular focus on Black people’s access to water, maritime history, and boat building history in New England. Events will include a panel discussion, a CPR course, and a yoga class.

Location: Downtown Library, Rines Auditorium Audience: Adults, Teens, Kids & Families, Seniors CPR demo led by an American Red Cross-certified trainer, offering valuable insights into CPR techniques. We'll address misconceptions about drowning and its portrayal in media.
