Please join us for a visit to get acquainted with the research possibilities and resources offered in and through Portland Public Library Special Collections and Archives. We’ll look at the Library’s web resources, including our Digital Commons, along with directories, indexes, and how they help us navigate our printed and microfilmed archival material. There are many ways to use these extraordinary historic sources. Bring questions!

Explore rare books, maps, prints, and manuscripts. You’ll also be introduced to the department itself, and how the story of the Greater Portland area is documented and preserved through these archival materials.
