Curious what goes on in the Portland Room at the Downtown Library? This series of events will share some of the research possibilities and resources offered in and through Portland Public Library Special Collections and Archives. Learn more about the Library’s web resources, including our Digital Commons, along with directories, indexes, and how they help us navigate our printed and microfilmed archival material. Explore rare books, maps, prints, and manuscripts. You’ll also be introduced to the department itself, and how the story of the Greater Portland area is documented and preserved through these archival materials.
