The Digital Maine Library has it all! You’ll find cool things – like sharks and pets and the solar system and sports and graphic novels. Our brand new resources have it all, from language learning to reading recommendations and popular magazines as well as easy-to-use research databases fro any class or topic.
Library cards and special loan privileges are available to adults working in child care centers, preschools and family day care homes. Along with books in the Library’s collection, there are also 60+ thematic book boxes that can be borrowed.

READ = Research, Entertainment, Access, and Discovery. Thanks to a partnership between Portland Public Library and Portland Public Schools, READ accounts allow all PPS students in every grade to access public library resources with their unique school ID numbers.
